Accessibility Statement

What we have done, what we know is imperfect, and how to reach a person if the site gets in your way.

Last updated: 20 September 2026

Our position

Everyone should be able to find out what a roof costs and get in touch with a roofer. This site is built to be usable with a screen reader, by keyboard alone, at high zoom, and by people who find motion uncomfortable.

We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are stating that as the standard we build to and test against, not as a certification.

What we have built in

  • Keyboard access throughout. Every link, button and accordion works without a mouse, and focus is always visible with a high-contrast outline.
  • A skip link. The first thing a keyboard user reaches jumps straight past the navigation to the main content.
  • Semantic structure. One h1 per page, headings in order, real landmarks, and navigation marked up as navigation.
  • Color contrast. Body text and interactive elements meet or exceed the 4.5:1 requirement. The copper we use for links and buttons measures about 5:1 on white.
  • Tap targets. Buttons and links are at least 44×44 pixels, which matters most on the phone that most visitors use.
  • Labelled controls. The pricing calculator's fields each have a visible, associated label — not a placeholder pretending to be one.
  • Reduced motion. If your system asks for reduced motion, animations and smooth scrolling are turned off.
  • Content without JavaScript. Nothing on this site requires JavaScript to be readable. FAQ answers are present and expanded in the underlying page; the accordion is an enhancement layered on top.
  • Descriptive links. No "click here" — link text describes where it goes.
  • Images. Meaningful images carry alternative text; decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Zoom and reflow. The layout reflows to 320px and tolerates 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
  • No CAPTCHA anywhere. There is nothing on this site you have to solve a puzzle to use. CAPTCHAs are a well-documented barrier, particularly for people with visual or cognitive disabilities.

Known limitations

We would rather name these than let you discover them.

  • The map on the contact page is embedded from Google Maps. We do not control its accessibility. Everything it conveys is also written out in text on that page — the communities we serve, their counties and ZIP codes — so nothing is available only inside the map.
  • The cost calculator on the pricing page updates its result in a live region as you type. We believe this announces correctly, but live regions behave differently across screen readers. The same figures appear in a static table immediately above it, so the calculator is never the only route to the information.
  • Testing. Our checks are automated plus manual keyboard and screen reader testing. We have not commissioned a third-party audit. If we had, we would say so.

If the site gets in your way

Tell us and we will fix it. You do not need to describe the problem in technical terms — "I cannot get to the phone number with my keyboard" is a perfectly good bug report.

Call (763) 342-0499 during Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Getting information another way

If any part of this site is not working for you, you do not have to use it. Call us and we will:

  • Talk you through pricing ranges over the phone;
  • Take every detail of your assessment request over the phone;
  • Send a written scope in whatever format works for you — large print, plain text, or read aloud over the phone.

There is no part of this business that requires you to use the website.
