This policy explains how Monticello Roofing Co handles information from visitors to roofingmonticellomn.com. It is written to be read, not to be impenetrable. If something here is unclear, call us on (763) 342-0499 and ask.
Who we are
Monticello Roofing Co is a metal roofing contractor operating as a service-area business from Monticello, MN 55362, serving Wright County and Sherburne County, Minnesota. We are the controller of the information described below.
What we collect, and when
Information you give us when you contact us
This site has no contact form. The only way to reach us through it is the telephone number, so the information we hold is whatever you choose to tell us on that call:
- Your name — so we know who we are speaking to.
- Your phone number — usually visible to us on the call anyway.
- The property address — needed to assess the roof and to file a permit.
- What is wrong with the roof — whatever you describe.
We do not ask for and do not want your date of birth, social security number, bank details or payment card information. If a quote proceeds to a contract, any payment arrangements are handled separately and directly.
Call recording
We do not record telephone calls. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before it does and you will be told at the start of the call.
Information collected automatically
This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. It sets cookies and collects an abbreviated IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring source. We use it in aggregate — to know that the pricing page is read more than the about page, not to identify you.
You can prevent this with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. The site works normally either way.
Third parties whose content appears on this site
- Google Maps — the contact page embeds a map of our service area. Loading that page causes your browser to contact Google, which may set cookies and receive your IP address, under Google's privacy policy. No other page on this site loads it.
- Google Fonts — typefaces are served from Google's font service, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
Why we use it
- To call you back about the assessment you requested.
- To prepare and send a written scope and price.
- To carry out work you engage us for, including filing permits on your behalf.
- To keep records of work performed, which we are obliged to do and which protects you at warranty time.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with data brokers, lead resellers, or marketing lists. We do not send marketing emails to people who asked us for a quote.
Who else sees it
We share information only where it is necessary:
- Municipal building departments — your name and property address on a permit application, because a permit cannot be filed without them.
- Your insurance company or adjuster — only where you have asked us to be involved in a claim.
- Suppliers — a delivery address for materials.
- Where the law requires it — a valid legal request, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
- Call enquiries that do not become jobs: up to 24 months, then deleted. People frequently come back a year or two later, and it is useful to have the history.
- Completed work: retained for the life of any workmanship warranty plus the applicable limitation period, because a warranty claim without a record is difficult for both of us.
- Photographs of your roof: retained with the job record. We will not publish a photograph of your property without asking you first.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your enquiry, where we are not required to keep it for warranty or legal reasons.
- Stop contacting you. Say so once and we will stop.

Security
This site is served over HTTPS, so the pages you request are encrypted in transit. There is no form on this site, so nothing you type is transmitted to us at all — and there is no CAPTCHA, which means we are not passing your interactions to a third-party bot-detection service in order to let you contact us.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. We keep what we collect to the minimum that lets us do the job.
Children
This site is aimed at property owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information, call us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and change the substance here before the practice changes — not after.
